This is particularly useful when a number of files are created at the same time and need to be kept in the same folder e.g. Camtasia.

There’s no doubt that it’s nicely designed and comes with some neat features: cut, copy & paste, undo and redo, font colors, a revision history, keyboard shortcuts, multi-user editing and the ability to import, export and save maps to the server.

YouTube for Cartoons
Topic: Instructional Design

MyToons, which is currently in private beta, is an impressive new video and image-sharing site for cartoons. You can upload your own videos and artwork, and find the most viewed, top rated, most discussed and most recent media in these sections. The player is large, fast loading and Flash-based - it can also be expanded to take up much of the screen. Look out too for tagging, comments and the ability to share via email (strangely, there’s no option to embed clips in MySpace and blogs). Beyond media sharing, there’s also groups, messaging, networks of friends and profile pages. The profiles provide a choice of design templates, and you can also create you own.

Download Music from YouTube Videos
Topic: All subjects
You just finished watching a bunch of some excellent music videos on Youtube that you wish to save as MP3 files for listening on the iPod or ever better, burn them to an Audio CD [minus the video]. A solution is vixy.net [detailed review] - you just type in the address of the Youtube video page and vixy will convert that video file into a .MP3 file containing just the audio. No encoding required.  Now pop in the blank CD and hit the Burn button or start iTunes to transfer the Mp3 to your iPod.

How to eMail Large Files
Topic: All subjects
This online service allows you to upload large files (up to 100MB) and spits out a private web address which you can then email your contact e.g. teacher. Best of all, the link as a 'best before' date: 30 minutes right up to one week long. After that time the link is dead, the file deleted, your content transferred by then to its rightful owner.
